POSITION: Nurse Manager, Endoscopy

The Nurse Manager will oversee 20-25 FTE, including Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Instrument Technicians, and Patient Services Specialists. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Endoscopy unit which operates 24/7 and is both inpatient and outpatient. The Nurse Manager will also provide leadership, make decisions, set goals, and assure that quality, performance, and production standards are maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Director with development, planning, and implementation of goals, objectives, new programs, or new equipment.
- Monitors data to evaluate department quality.
- Prepares employee schedules and assigns work to staff. Evaluates daily workload and makes adjustments in staff assignments.
- Conducts ongoing operational assessments. Identifies, plans, implements, and drives improvements.
- Monitors billing, collections, coding, and insurance systems to ensure regulatory compliance and maximum reimbursement.
- Educates physicians on diagnosis and procedure coding and provides feedback regarding billing performance.
- Develops key financial criteria and standardized financial reports, and presents reports to clinic physicians and hospital administration.
- Establishes and updates standards, procedures, and policies. Monitors employee compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitors data to evaluate department productivity and maintain a cost effective department.
- Maintains appropriate documentation for accreditation.
- Resolves patient complaints, concerns, or issues.
- Develops, coordinates, and evaluates training programs for staff.
- Conducts in-service training programs and coaches employees to develop and improve skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- An active RN license in Washington State
- Demonstrated procedural nursing experience
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- 2-3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting
