No Time For Negotiations? Working With An Agency Can Help

Salary negotiations can be awkward. Last week, we explored best practices for negotiating salaries during the interview process. However, certain circumstances can sometimes arise that make it preferable to have a recruiter do the negotiating on your behalf. In a perfect world, financial constraints would never come between organizations with positions to fill and the qualified candidates who are interested in working with them but unfortunately, that is not always the case.
Working with an agency for your job search can be a great way to circumvent these issues, especially when the salary range being offered doesn’t overlap with your salary requirements for the position you are truly interested in. And while it is not always the case, our strong working relationships with client hospitals typically allows us to negotiate on behalf of the candidate when possible and identify when budgetary constraints will simply not allow room for negotiation. In doing so, we make sure that salary negotiations don’t interfere with our candidates putting their best foot forward as evidenced by one of our former candidates:
